I love food.

I mean, I really do.

I consider myself to be a foodie. And while I can be snobby about some meals, I also like a simple PB&J with Cheetos on the side. We like to cook a lot, and often cook and bake from scratch. We have chefs we like, and I have a bit of a cookbook collection. My gals and I even do a monthly cookbook club and celebrate our cooking wins and fails while enjoying company (and lots of wine.)

I love meal planning, and find some small joy in not wasting food as I plan dinners around my leftovers, frozen food, and pantry staff. I like coupons and getting produce that’s in season, since it’s usually a good deal. I like buying and storing bulk meat in the freezer, and prepping ingredients to make getting meals on the table on busy nights. But I also like take-out, and supporting local restaurants.

This blog will share a lot of tips and tricks I have learned on the way, and I find a large value in having family dinners together every night (mostly!). I’ll throw in a recipe link now and then, but I’m not trying to be a food blogger. I think about food often, and have found some fun swaps to make things healthier but still edible by my husband and kids’ standards. It’s also been a journey to learn about new cuisines, and how to introduce those to my kids.

Bringing people together is something else that I love to do. Hosting parties, prepping dinner parties, and my husband’s cocktails are always a fun time. Sometimes we even keep it simple and just have a potluck gathering and it makes gatherings super easy. More on that later!

Pull up a seat and join me along for the ride! And as always, cheers!
