Finding your Style

Have you been on a style journey?

Thinking on back to what I wore in college (hello 2000s), to what I wore in my 20s, to what I wear now, is such a journey.

We are busy people, and if you’re a working mom, a business-owner, or you work from home (or all three), there is a way for you to have style past the leggings and t-shirts.

My favorite magazine, Verily, had an article about styling shirts that I thought was so brilliant. T-shirts can be dressed up or down, and they can add a lot of personality too. And if you need to wear the school shirt to an event, you can use a skirt and cute shoes and add a scarf or jacket to give it pizazz. They have a lot of great tips about Style & Beauty that I look on for inspiration.

One of the reasons The Daily Refrain sells shirts is because wearing something as basic and comfortable as a simple tee is what a lot of us wear on a daily basis. I figured shirts for tough moms, yoga enthusiasts, book readers, educators, and Broadway fans all need a place to be represented. Pair a knotted tee with a fancy skirt or jeweled necklace and you can rock a new look that is simple and polished.

I love athleisure outfits like the next gal, but I figure it’s just as easy to throw on a dress or pair of jeans and a top and you look and feel more polished. Next time you plan a brunch or a catch-up with a friend, choose something out of your closet that you haven’t tried yet. Why not wear the fancy dress on your dinner date, or try that fun concert tee with a fun skirt and sneakers and pearls?

Cheers!
